I also agree with TTT’s latest

Making spurious notions without any link to back up the claim is tedious
I thought the Site Rules state it is courteous and customary
To do it on every single OP header is taking liberties and merits action
In the News category it states,

"It is common practice to offer a link to the news article you would like to discuss but it is not mandatory."

No mention of it to be common practice not to do so on every single occasion by one user either though
The important bit is, "it is not mandatory."
Good grief we don’t need a poll for this.

You are the Editor. Do your job and Edit. You make a decision.
We have had the POLITICS section for years, and nobody posts there. Maybe one post a week, if that?
Meanwhile the main NEWS section is choc full of politics questions.
If you look at site traffic, the preferred option is where users are clicking the most. It’s not rocket science.
Only the precious posters would give a mouses sitapon
get rid of all sub categories, end of.
Well there you go.
"End of"
What else is there to say?
Gromit, //We have had the POLITICS section for years, and nobody posts there. //

The very reason for suggesting promoting it to a main category so that anything that is politics but not news may be posted there - hence dedicating the 'News' section to news.

I posted there when it was an historical political based question or an opinion piece but because it was hidden away threads got overlooked.

What if we all started to post gulliver type repetitive drivel?

We need an alternative to News asap.
100% behind naomi, one of the few sensible people on this matter.
Only ten per cent have voted "no" to the proposal and I doubt there will be a majority against it over the coming week
