Hope someone can help - can anyone tell me why on some websitess I get the dreaded red cross on a white background where an image is supposed to be?? And how can I fix it?

It's supposed to be a picture that has failed to load, probably due to a dead/incorrect link or it has been expired from a host ir connection problems.

Thanks for the quick reply. It's a site that's only just started - on the front page they say it may be something to do with the firewall blocking the images but I can't figure out how to correct it :(
This article is all about the dreaded X and how it can be fixed, hopefully the answer to your particular problem is there, Susie.

Hi Cetti thanks for the reply. I'd found that aricle too but tried everything suggested and it still won't work!
If it's just a few websites and not all, then it seems as though the problem is not with you, but with the individual website.

A deadlink or incorrect link is the most likely culprit as dave_c says.
