Watching an old episode of 'Prime Suspect', there was a scene where Jane Tennyson and her boyfriend were sharing a bath together.

Now I love the present Mrs Hughes as much as anyone can love anyone, but nothing on this earth would induce me to share a bath with her, I can't think of anything more revolting!

I won't sit in a Jacuzzi either, I find the idea of sharing bath water with anyone repellent, and that goes double for complete strangers.

So AB'ers, am I in the majority here?

Do any of you routinely share your bath with a loved one?

Your thoughts?

Bobs, you've obviously never suffered the embarrassment of communal toilets, have you. Two rows of hairy-arissed squaddies squatting over 'long-drop' style toilets at Oakhampton barracks. We were only there for a few weeks, thankfully.
As an aside, i never knew there were so many ways to wipe it :-)))))
Indeed, Ken, the 'boxing glove' method has always impressed though it can leave normal folk short.
Douglas, i suspect it was those who use that method who were panic buying all the bog rolls, back in the day :-)
/I would hope not Sqad but if either of us required the other to be there and ‘help’ , yes, in a heartbeat/

As has happened to me after my bathroom incident last year. Singles though when I got my dignity back, but he was amazing. That's what a real partnership is about.
Singles?? 'Great'
To suggest you are not properly clean when you have a bath is taking cleanliness to the extreme. I love a bath now and again and of course I'm clean when I get out.
What about swimming pools with loads of people?

I've only once shared a bath but that was years ago and when I had a corner bath with plenty of room.

I don't go in swimming pools for exactly the same reason. It's the sea, or nothing.
Andy I did once see a hefty turd float past me in the sea in Cyprus :o(

That's the last time you go on holiday the same time as Piers Morgan, eh? ;-)

You should have tried Blackpool in the 70s and 80s, Bobs. No wonder the water there was almost brown:-///
eweeeee, I think it was more visible in the blue waters of the Med

Bobbi - // Andy I did once see a hefty turd float past me in the sea in Cyprus :o( //

Unfortunate, but I'll take the risk anytime, rather than share the body fluids of hundreds of people in a pool full of chemicals.

Later identified as Robert Maxwell.

A few weeks? 5 mins is normally more than enough for me to do what I have to do

I think you'll find its the other way round in Japan, unless it's changed when I was there. You always have a shower before you get into the bath. Why? Because baths are not for cleaning yrself, they're for relaxation.
