well done you scots :)
I've always wondered with curling, does the brushing rough up the ice so the stone slows down or smooth it so it goes faster? or some thing entirely different?
I can't open that link but I always assumed it was to make it curl more but I seen a video a while ago and it's the opposite.
The video also said there was disagreement as to the mechanics making the stone culr on the ice.
There's videos on YouTube showing how the ice is prepared and it's not as simple as flooding a space with water and letting it freeze, there's a fine art to it.
Curling fascinates me. And also makes me anxious.
I could never play it, I’d be too fraught all the time trying to get the stone thing in the right place.
Yep, well done to all the curling team members, male and female.
