Maybe I just missed it, but did anyone see this reported either in the newspapers or on the TV? Can understand the BBC ignoring it mind you. Anyway, well done to the proud pipers and of course to the victorious curlers.

I heard it being played a fair few times and at the end of each session they showed a video of wee ones singing Auld Lang Syne on a huge screen

I read that in the 2008 Olympics a set of bagpipes sparked alarm. The Chinese thought it was some kind of weapon. An assault on the ears perhaps.

jno - and the Chinese are right, the protocol is to wear under-breeks when there is a Queen on the throne, just to remove the chance of embarrassment if the wind, as in Eunice or Franklin, blowing their kilts up just as she is passing by.

I accept that this would be unlikely in Beijing and what with her sniffling away in the Covid camp called Windsor. President 'She done Ping' may have equally been embarrassed though.
