I struggled in high school in more ways than one, and since I decided not to go to college after my senior year, I had to essentially start my education over. I had to take an extra YEAR of 9th grade math, which I struggled at generally, in order to fulfill the pre-requisites for getting the education, and life, that I wanted. It all fell apart, and now I’m stuck knowing my life is defined by a class. Is there any alternative that can allow me to earn a living without a degree? Does this seem fair?
Loads of jobs dont need a degree . Most of my school friends have been successful in trades in business or in other jobs without a degree or anything like it. Just work hard
There are many professions where you can get a job without a degree and with hard work and motivation you can gain promotion and a successful career. The caring profession, catering, personal services such as hairdressing and beauty therapy, retail, entertainment industry, or you could look for an apprenticeship to learn a skill such as electrical, plumbing, joinery or food production. There are many jobs available without a degree. You just need to go out and look for them.
You don’t need a degree for a lot of jobs and might need a degree with a lot of jobs and a degree is needed for a lot of jobs. Guess it depends what industry you like and type of tasks you want to do.
Yes it does seem fair. If you struggled at 9th grade studying it seems unlikely you would be able to do it at a higher level, so it seems completely fair to me. If a course has a prerequisite you don't meet, you can't do the course. On the plus side your life is not defined by it by any means.
There are loads Iof great suggestions above
