What ever happed to Whiteout?
1 Answers
In April (I think) 1994, my friends and I went to the Arena in Middlesbrough to watch 3 bands play: Whiteout, The Julie Dophin, and some bunch of louts called Oasis.
It cost 3 or 4 and was the same weekend that Kurt Cobain's body was found.
Obviously, Oasis went on to be big stars, but what happened to Whiteout, who were pretty good that night (despite a power cut).
Any ideas? What of The Julie Dolphin?

they used to play more or less every thursday upstairs at the old Bay Hotel in Gourock where their manager DJed
went through several lineups and as far as i know are still together in some form (possibly not as whiteout)and still playing around greenock.- been years since i lived there though
made it "big in japan"-managed to sell out the Budokan Stadium
last i seen them was by accident at a pub in camden about 7 years ago
tinny(eric) the guitarist was a decent fella-the rest were all quite up themselves
fudgie the original drummer was also quite a decent guy
i was there the night they met Oasis-at the Canal Bar Cafe in Manchester at one of Tony Wilsons In The City festivals
seen Oasis underwhelm an emptying pub
there is a funny story i could tell-afraid it would get me banned from this site though probably
