Help Please, Forgot My Passcode On Iphone .

last night i was really tired , i changed my passcode on iphone 4, i have forgotten it this morning, i have tried 4 times but it has locked phone for 1 minute then said try again.

i dont want to try too many times incase it gets locked permanently.

Could your service provider helpline help you ?

If you can get advice on how to uncover your number from this website it wouldn't be a particularly secure system.

I have done this several time on my pc Bee, just think about things you were doing / thinking / like / memorable / DOB, that might remind you.

Do you have a facility to restore factory settings ? You'd lose anything saved though.... think I'd take trip to nearest retail outlet see if they can help...or one of those we can unlock your phone places....

i cannot for the life of me remember, i have many vids and photos oon my phone i do not want to lose plus my itunes about 3000 songs.

Desperate to get back into the phone and their support page tells you how to erase the very contents you are desperate to save ? Sounds sound advice.

You must have one of those we unlock phones places ...try there...

If the music and vids etc are still on your iTunes library you won't lose them by trying...it will resynch with same data surely ?

There wouldn't be much point having a security system you could override and retain the data OG, Apple presume you have backed up to iTunes on a regular basis hence you won't lose anything.

A security system the legitimate owner can't get an authority to override without destroying the contents, is of limited use as well Fitzer. (And I suspect the forces of law would not be happy.) This all seems to assume folk back things up which, in my experience, they don't do regularly. Of course the way to avoid this is not to have a passcode.

Use land line to contact iPhone .
Write all passwords down.

thanks rosamundjohn, though what do you mean by that " write all passcodes down " ? surely if i call iphone ( usa ) it will cost me a fortune and how would iphone be able to let me know my passcode, i think that is impossible ?

than again im as thick as champ ;-)
