Free Word Doc To Pdf

Can anyone recommend a free Word to PDF software package please?

The ones I have used have been the sort where you upload your word doc and they convert it for you to download free. (some might tell you to pay at the last minute, but there are some which are free.)

on a Word document, I get "save as PDF" under the File tab?

Roadman's answer is, indeed, valid for Microsoft Word but I'll point out that in Windows 10 and 11 anything at all that can be printed onto paper (whether that be a Word file, a photo, a spreadsheet, this web page or absolutely anything else) can be saved as a PDF document, without the need for any additional software at all.

Simply go to File > Print (or press Ctrl and P together). Then change the printer that you want to use from your normal (physical) one to a (virtual) printer called 'Microsoft Print to PDF', which you'll find in the list of available printers.

Thanks for the tip, Buen (about priting to PDF). I tried it and what happens when you press 'Print' is that instead of the printer coming to life, a little window opens asking you to name the document and specify where you want to save it. I called it test and saved to desktop. It worked.

( I havent found a way around this )

then you control print and there is a pdf choice in the print section
