Is there any time for celebrating after you have done the dishes, done the dusting and hoovered round, the washing and ironing, and not lets forget making sure hubby has his dinner on time and his slippers and a pint are waiting for him after his long day toiling for you?
I thought Aldi was spectacularly dim with the flowers and treats advert and missing the aims of IWD.

That's because you're not an award winning retailer that knows what a substantial chunk of customers want I suppose.
I think we all ‘got’ it, Ken - but the probability is that one day wonders will have forgotten the day by tomorrow. No doubt they’ll remember your joke though. :o)

I love wimmin, particularly the breast stroke :-)
In truth we could have a thread per day about 'Days' and some are ripe for some light humour and others less so.

This one has been going so long it is well known, of course some big businesses will take the chance to use it for gain.
