Do You Still Wear Your Engagement Ring After You Get Married?

I have always been afraid of breaking or losing the ring when wearing it , but my wife gets angry once I didn't wear it, any suggestions?

I don't think there are any hard and fast rules these days on which rings you wear on which fingers if at all.
I used to wear a wedding ring, then eternity ring and then engagement ring, but I don't wear any of them now. (They don't fit)
Can you come to an agreement with your wife to wear it on certain occasions and not all the time?

They do rather overdo things in the US don't they? We aren't so showy here. Why all these threads about rings. I don't wear any and been married for 50 years.

I've never had an engagement ring...and both my marriages were in the States. Diamonds were never y thing...I was more of a hippy...silver and turquoise...kind of girl. ;)
Shame...I could have sold them and bought something useful.

Me too Pasta. I don't like gold or diamonds. I did have a gold wedding ring but mostly never wore it. I've got a few rings which I wear when I go out but mostly semi precious stones and silver. I love Silver and Whitby jet or amber.

Wore both engagement and wedding rings together for about 40 years. But the engagement ring wore thin and sharp so took it off. Always said we would get an eternity ring but never got round to it and it's a bit late now after 66 years to get one. Wedding ring has never been off my finger since it was put on all those years ago. Not that I could get it over my knuckle even if I wanted to.
