Lowish Peak Flow Reading - Just Up Inhalers??
6 Answers
Absolutely nothing to do with fractured spine……..
I’ve had irritating cough for about 10 days - some days will cough for couple of hours, then I won’t for several hours. No sore throat at all. Chest feels pretty tight. Have done several COVID tests - all negative which is great. Have been checking peak flow reading every day. Is never brilliant - usually bout 270-290 but that’s completely normal for me. Last 24 hours it’s now bout 200. Woke up this morning after few hours sleep and t shirt was wet on the front. Still don’t feel any worse. Had half hr nap this afternoon, woke up and top was wet again. (Room is cool, no heating on). Tried to do online consultation with my doctors surgery which is v good but I forgot they stop at 4pm.
Shall I just increase the amount of times I use my inhalers and keep taking normal cough remedies? Like I said, it’s not making me feel sick - just chest is tight and wheezy.
TIA.

Re. the post of the Winner, he is correct in that cough suppressants shouldn't be prescribed for Asthma, but remember "all that wheezes is not Asthma".......... and in your case it wasn't Asthma that was the problem it was an infection.
Your infection should subside over the weekend.
