Anyone heard from Togo since he had his op, yesterday. He hasn't posted on the Cheltenham Festival thread which i find a tad disconcerting. Hope the reason is no more sinister than his having to stay in hospital a little longer than he would have expected to.

So sorry to hear that Togo, it's very frustrating for you and your wife, no wonder she was so angry!
Jayz Togo, that's just wicked news, I have had a massive op in the past and the lead up to it was similar so I don't know how I would be going through that isolation and everything else just to have it cancelled, I do hope that when you get the call back, they will do the op and any ops after that are all a success and you recover well
Yep Ducksie, it is no fun. Besides the hospital isolation procedure we both had to isolate at home for 5 days and I had to shower all over with only the solution provided, no soaps, no shampoo, nothing except the Octenisal solution. Also had to change all my clothes and put clean on after every shower, including pyjamas. The washing machine was "smokin". Squirt Octenisal cream up my nose 3 time a day for 8 days as well, and that is even less fun. I looked like Jimmy Durant by the 5th day. Again Ducksie is right. THey were going to fit me up through a groin inscision and thread a flexible tube like metal reinforced sleeve up my Aorta to line it up through the arch and about 3 inces down. If this was good part two was a CT scan that provided precise measurements om my lower Aorta down to my pelvic area. Then they were to order the manufacture of another "stent" that fitted my anatomy to complete the whole endograft. This piece needs exit holes for other arteries.
three word thingey is

I wondered why you had to do the dance of the seven veils for a week. the ex policeman diver fella had one
aww Togo I had no idea this was impending...hope you get in and oot again soon ... take very good care xx
togo - - no go

Sorry to hear about your trials and tribulations, Togo. I wish you well and hope that you will soon be fighting fit, aw reet and back to thisen. x
I had no idea you were poorly Togo, and why you want to share... a shame that you both have to go through it all again, all the best to you. (and the one that keeps an eye on you ;-)
Thanks again to the later posts. You are so kind. Thing is I have never felt better, but it looks like I could explode. :)) I don't even wear a vest, it would be from the inside. My heart, lungs, bloods, kidney and liver functions are all good.( my mind is not for me to judge) My plumbing is goosed though. "She who must be obeyed" is a diamond.
You are very lucky to have married your diamond, Togo.
Steady on Tills who said married? I am waiting for "the one" for next time. (^_*)
Oops!
Oh Togo, so sorry to read this. What a pain in the butt. Fingers crossed for you that it will all be sorted soon and you're soon back here keeping us in order.
I am home Lady. Waiting for the next "summons". Haha Tills no slight taken. I am not good enough for her anyway. ¯\(°_o)/¯
Better luck next time, Togo. In the mean time,
Don't worry be happy....
I try Patsy, especially when I have company. The two nights in a kin isolation ward for nothing were no fun mind. Hospital food!!! Seeing as how you ask ... I took a big bacon butty in with me to ward off the inevitable but had to order an evening "meal". Play safe Togo, I told myself, and ignore the lovely pictures on the "menu". Spanish Omelette, Chips, and Peas looks safe I told myself. I got a slab of recycled vomit and albino slugs with mouldy airgun pellets.
It's not easy is it Togo :-)) Poor you. I hate it when that happens, especially getting yourself all psyched up and ready for the op.
Good job you took your bacon sarnie in! Awful some of the food they throw up on a plate...
Hope it's better next time. Keep smiling. x
Togo - I'm sorry, I've not been around as much lately, my head's not been "right" & having just seen you in LP, remembered this thread. I'm sorry to see you've been through the wringer.

I hope you get everything sorted soonest - my best to you & Mrs Togo & Mamya would want me to pass on her best wishes also.
Thanks LiK. I understand full well how a caring person is distracted with concerns for another that is close, and had no expectations of you finding spare capacity for me. They are appreciated all the more for that. I have been following the thread giving updates on Mamya, and hope fervently that she gets well soon so that you can both enjoy life. Although I have taken a knock, and am a bit disorientated after the events, I am lucky to have no physical pain. I can still, carefully, enjoy life. I have been living with the possibility that catastrophe could take me for almost 10 years, and though somewhat afraid of the procedure and what could go wrong, had set my steel to follow the advice and have the op. I can do it again. I hope that Mamya has the prospect of full recovery to look forward to.
A lovely response, Togo.
