Dilemma!
18 Answers
Ok... Recently I slept with someone I shouldn't have! I can't go into to much detail as I am scared who will read this but this guy is an ex of a friends sister! They had been broken up almost a month when I slept with him and they were together 2yrs! She ended it with him coz she found someone else!
Thing is I have always thought he was nice and funny and we get on well. When I found out him and her broke up me and him exchanged numbers and were texting for weeks and flirty and making sexual comments and then oneday it went to far! Thing is... neither of us have said we regretted it, but we have said we shouldn't have done it but then we both keep flirting and making sexual comments!!!! One of my male mates is good friends with him and said that he definately likes me... and I do like him... I know we could never be a couple coz of the people involved and the guilt is pretty bad! I have never done anything bad like this to a friend before so I am feeling awful.. but I can't help it! Is it wrong to keep flirting with him and stuff?

Haha! Cheers Wardy! Not quite the advice I was hoping for but hey ho! I didn't just 'jump into bed with him'! We have known eachother almost a year and get on well! We were texting for about 2-3 weeks and saw eachother out a lot before we drunkenly slept together! Granted... its no fairytale but still... its happened!
Hi ruby, there really isn't a problem. They are ex's and that's why it's ok. It's not ok if they were not ex's, but being an ex makes you in no way the property of the person you used to go out with, so whether she , her sister or anyone else has a problem with it, it really doesn't matter. I married my 1st wife's cousin ( who I first met at my first wedding) and eventually everyone got over it ( well almost).
If you like him, go for it, life's too damned short.

if they are both single, there is no problem. i know she is your friend but it seems you werent thinking about your friend while you were doing the dirty deed with him!!
seriously though, if she is THAT good a friend she will give you her blessing. they split up for a reason so they dont want to be with each other. I am sure she will be fine about it

Hello Rubes ! :O)
Hun dont feel bad, these things happen and at the end of the day, they are exes. She cant expect nobody to go near him just because she was with him. An ex is an ex- doesnt mean someone has exclusive rights over him. Clearly they werent for each other but he could well be your lobster. Go for it girl- have fun and dont be fretting about what everyone else thinks. Look after yourself and if it makes you happy go for it. They will get over it !
I missed you ! ;o)xxx

Stevie - This would be correct... I don't think I actually knew I liked him until he told me they had split up and I found myself handing him my number as he said he felt like going to the club I had mentioned I'd be in!
Wonderwoman - I wasn't thinking about her at all when it happened.. I know this! I am no doubt going to Hell! I don't think I can tell her! Because first me and him shared a drunken kiss and we brushed it off and said it was a mistake.... and then we ended up having drunken s*x about a week later... I could have told her.. but the second time was more planned and now I have no excuse!!!! Plus I don't want to ruin things for him as he wants to get back with his ex (but she doesn't want to know, and she really won't want to know if she finds out) plus him and her will be sharing a house at Uni! (Not rooms, just a house)
Dilf - I completely agree! Plus they could get back together. I know he was thinking with his kn0b in the moment but it hasn't stopped him texting me and being flirty again!
Spk - My little hunny. How have you been? :o)
I know she doesn't have exclusive rights over him and if it weren't for the fact that I think my friend would go mad then I wouldn't be fretting at all! I don't think he is my Lobster.... (You won't see us walking round the tank holding claws) he could be my Turtle for now though ;o)

If one of my friends starting seeing my sisters ex I honestly think I would understand. Its not like you started seeing him while they were still togetehr, and 2 months is long enough. I would tell her before she hears through the grapevine but wouldnt go into all the intimate details. Maybe safer to say you just snogged to start with? xxx

Have you thought about testing the water with the girl/friend eg. dropping a few hints about how she would feel if he was with someone else? Or maybe just saying you saw him in town or something and got chatting. You could say you find him really nice but didn wanna take it anywhere till you were sure they were over, she probably wouldnt ask if you'd already slept with him.......
