On holiday in Liverpool. I have symptoms of covid. Never had it before. I've tried to get to see someone to get tested but I'm just being sent from pillow to post. I come home Friday. Shall I just lay low ?
I too have to stick up for Liverpool. It is a lovely city with a beautiful area to visit, Albert Docks which is often home to large ships that dock there, with lots of places to eat and shops to browse in. Liverpool One is a good shopping centre with many varieties of shops and restaurants. I'm going today to eat at Bella Italia with a friend for a celebration. It has the 'Liver Bird' statue which is iconic in this part of the world. Full of lovely, friendly people too.
Liverpool as a city is ok, but speaking as a southern Jessie who's been to practically every city in the country, I find Liverpudlians the most unfriendly. I think they have a 'thing' about southerners.
I`d never been to Liverpool so we went off there in September. Had a great time - did all sights and went to Crosby beach to see the statues. It helped that there was a heatwave and it was 29 degrees.
Oh dear, ignore me I was joking.
The only thing I can't stand about Liverpool is the accent as I've never actually seen any of it. I've only ever been to Liverpool once about 55 years ago, in the dark, to pick someone up from the docks.
I've heard The Wirral is lovely SB but I didn't realise it was part of Liverpuuul;-)
