Why Do People Spread Sheets?

Its better to spread jam with brussel sprouts and eat them illegally. I hath a dozen of brussel sproutth and sachets of gravy (in case I have an urge to eat them in the public and in Hyde Park) and some stwawberraw jam in my 12-itchy inch top hat. Tomorrow, I shall invite Dr. Jekyll to have brussel sprouts and a cuppa tea with me at Hyde's Park.

How very outre of you - but we should expect no less from an august person like you. Do take care though - Hyde Park is not, perhaps, the happiest rendezvous you could have chosen. Do take care and we await the results with bated breath. (That's because of the sprouts.)

Noble lord, I must confess that I have a desire to bring you 'up to date' - as the modernism has it - with reference to spreadsheets. Such items are a generic product of this electronic age that we are compelled to live in, and have no connection to spreading other types of sheet. If it pleases you to spread jam, et cetera, as you describe, then who am I to say you nay? I wish you and Dr. Jekyll well with your Brussels sprouts and tea in Hyde Park.
