I would think that before anyone can give you a definitive answer they would need to know the extent of the damage, and the type of frame and sill assembly. There are many different profiles and some sills sit under the whole door and frame. Some do not. It could be that a cosmetic repair can be done but a picture would be a great help.

I know absolutely nothing about this product, apart from the fact that it gets very good reviews on Amazon. (I suggest taking a look at both the Q&As and the reviews, to decide if it might be of any use in your situation):

Righto Postman. The sill it is. Most sills have a little end cap that clips into the cut length to finish it. Is it just that end clap that has come away? If so it can be put back in with a bit of silicone or pvc adhesive. If the sill itself has shattered it is not going to be easy to repair but is easily replaced. Again without knowing the exact frame and sill set up it is hard to advise. Best case scenario is that the sill can be replaced withoiy removing the door and frame. orst case is that the door and frame have to come out or that the profile is now anavailable. I think your decision will be based on how old the door and frame is. Are the original suppliers still trading, and a replacement easily done. What your house insurance excess is and what is the extra cost for a replacement. All I will say is that a damaged sill with a sharp pvc edge is not something that you want. A stumble or something catching it could be unpleasant.
