120 cats..."I'd never leave my cats". Hopefully it can be viewed.
I often think of the 70s as the peak of 20th c English eccentricity. Lots of pleasantly batty folks doing their thing.

I always said that when I retired I would get an old dog, a puppy and a cat, but of course the best laid plans and all that ! It saddens me greatly that because of my age Jill will be my last dog. so I have to make the most of the precious time we have together. Shirley...the link was a video dating from 1976. The woman, Jean Room, had gradually taken in a total of 120 cats. Lots of polite questions from the BBC interviewer regarding food costs, did she have a favourite, smell...and who would she choose...the cats, or her husband. Her food costs were £100 a month...astronomical then.
