Plastic Bag Got Stuck Under My Car

I drove the car just 1/4 mile to a place of safety and managed to get the bag out in one whole piece, but even though it's been totally removed, I can smell burning. Will this smell go eventually? I'm not driving the car anymore until the morning, but will the burning smell go?

Yes, there wlll be some melted plastic on the exhause pipe which will burn off next time you drive. It's worth having a look to see if you can see it and make sure it's only a small amount or pull off any loose stuff.
