Defrosted Freezer, To Switch Back On.

Hi all How long before a frozen delivery would you switch the freezer back on so frozen food doesn't start to thaw if I leave it too late, its just a simple upright Fridge freezer three shelves freezer section.

Personally, I'd happily put frozen food into a freezer that I'd switched on about 4 hours beforehand. It might not have fully reached its lowest temperature but it will already be at around 0 degrees C and so minimal (if any) defrosting of food would be likely to occur.

Thank you, i'll take your advice Chris, day off today... doing this that and other (My weekend) freezer back on delivery from 8pm...

If you fill the empty spaces,until it is full of food again with loosely crumpled newspaper in carrier bags it won't be trying to 're chill air that will change every time you open the door.

Hiya ‘mi ol love spud’ I always start from the back pages (sports) and read the important stuff first. I do sometimes get around to reading the headlines.. shhh
