ASDA soda crystals are great. It's in a green packet.

I'd be very careful using NaOH, its an alkali that can be dangerous. Watch your eyes.

If you don't have mains drainage go steady - you don't want to kill the bacteria that work your septic tank and make sure you use septic tank friendly loo cleaner :-)
