So for a total layout of just over £20 your neighbour can Bluetooth pair a CD player to the vehicle audio system. But if I were to do this, I’d want to ensure I could power the CD player via the vehicle electrics somehow – because these things tend to eat batteries.

Had an answer back from a seller about a Bluetooth transmitter (what I gathered I needed), who tells me that would be the wrong way round. Surely the device sending the audio (non Bluetooth CD player) is the transmitter, arrgh !
