It started with my cooker hood dying; gas fire condemned; bathroom light switch broke; outside tap broke...all had to be replaced.
Today the large diamond has dropped out of my wife's engagement ring and can't be found.
I wouldn't mind but I didn't break a mirror, walk under a ladder nor open an umbrella indoors.
Yesterday a bizarre thing happened. All my PCs, tablets and laptops were working fine and connecting to the WiFi but my tv, doorbell, DVD player, security cameras, NAS just would not work at all. I was just about to put my boot through the tv when everything went back to normal.
When you do, eventually, find your lady wife's diamond, I'll guess that you say something like, "But I've already looked there!", or, "Well, why didn't I think of that?" Whatever, I do hope that the diamond is found, and that your lady wife can smile again.
If it's any consolation barry, I too have had a bad year in that respect ! First off all my bathroom roof leaked and had to be repaired, next my immersion heater stopped working and I had a hell of a job getting a plumber who would fix it - apparently, the 'young lads' won't touch them nowadays, then my gas fire was belting out carbon monoxide fumes and I was getting dizzier and dizzier every day - that also took a long time to find someone who was prepared to service it !! Now lastly, my landline phone has died which is resulting in loads of conversations with my wifi provider, which seem to be getting nowhere at all !! I am dreading to think what will go next.
Ohh that’s not good about the diamond ring - fingers crossed it will turn up in the next day or so. Can she at least recall when she definitely DID last see it?? And try to work from there.
