Partygate To Drag On For Months
// Sue Gray expects to complete her report into Covid law-breaking parties across Westminster at the end of May at the earliest, the Guardian has been told.
Sources said that the senior civil servant, who for months has been forced to sit on her findings about illegal gatherings while Scotland Yard carries out its own inquiry, believes the police investigation could drag on for several more weeks.
It may then take Gray a further fortnight for her to compile her report, meaning that it is possible the final version will not be delivered to No 10 for at least another month. //
The Met investigation has been very dilatory. I thought Sue Gray’s report was ready to be published in January, is she doing a rewrite?
The bad news for Boris (and us) is that partygate isn’t going away soon.
Does this put pressure on Johnson for months? Or is the slow drip drip good for him to ride out the situation ?

Well that is quite possible if the Met, who are far more experienced in getting to the truth, find she was not quite correct or missed some points.
After all it does no one any good to have differing reports does it?
As for will it affect Johnson, who knows. Politics is a funny game, it could go either way.

You should come up to Scotland some time,Groms.Up here Wee Burney has the cops under her thumb. From Salmondgate to the missing £600,000 misappropriated by a leading member of the SNP,the cops up here cant/wont do a thing against these nationalists. At least the cops down in England properly investigate crimes.Up here in Scotland what Wee Burney orders the cops to do they do.
