In the small town that I live in (pop approx. 5,000), we've got two convenience stores that are both a great deal cheaper for most things than the two Co-op stores here are. (For example, a kilo of sugar in Asda is 65p. Both of our convenience stores can offer it for under a quid but it's £1.35 in the Co-op shops).

To get to the Co-op from Dev's, one has to turn right out of his shop and walk to the far end of Coronation Street. Then turn left onto Rosamund Street and right onto Victoria Street. The Co-op is at the far end:
