Reminds me of when ( at the time ) my five year old son got into my three litre Capri and started it up while I was up the ladders painting the eves of our house !. I came down those ladders a lot quicker than I went up them, he would have only needed to tap the gear stick ( it was an automatic ) and he would have either have gone into the front of the house or reversed into the main road behind. He had been in the car so many times with me that he knew the routine to starting it up and knew that the keys was almost always on one of the kitchen counters.

My friends' son was driving cars when he was 8 yrs old. He owned a vehicle breakers yard and his son used to drive the driveable ones round the yard. Not quite speeding on the highway is it?
