MIL presents herself to hospital on a regular basis at least every other month.
We have suggested getting a home help - she was all for it until she realised she would have to pay, we looked into paying one for her arranged for a few to drop by - she didn't like any of them.
Her sons have PoA when she loses her mental faculities, but the older son refuses to accept there is anything wrong with her.
She relies on younger people in the street to do so much for her - its not fair on them.
She will not spend any money on self care - she thought she could get an old friend (her hairdresser) to do it but when told she would need to pay approx £20 and hour she refused
She won't even pay £10 a month for an emergency alarm.
She won't divulge how much she has in savings so we can't apply on her behalf for help from the government.
Is there anything we can do or do we just wait until the attention seeking and hospital visits get too much for the authorities (will they do anything)
I really feel that this a case of she who cried wolf!
