Why Are There More Posh Cars On The Road Now Than There Used To Be In The Uk?

When I was growing up in the 00s I remember most of the cars you would see on peoples driveways were just normal everyday cars. Of course people still had posh cars, I remember going round to a friends house and his parents had a Mercedes, but apart from that I didn’t see cars like that very often. These days however if you drive out you can guarantee to see a plethora of BMW’s, Audi’s, Mercedes etc and new ones at that. Why are these kind of cars more popular on uk roads than they seemed to be 15-20 years ago? Thanks

As said above its down to the finance plans which are cheaper then the old HP as its really just a rent.

Personally although we have had a couple of brand new (The rubbish SLK was one) I now buy six months old in cash. Got both our Jag and BMW like that, not that I would consider them posh.

Must say, if I was going electric I would go the rental route.

Not mine, it's the wifes. It's just a petrol 2.00 XE R-type, in red and does look good. The Bimmers a petrol 320i m-Sport Black Shadow. Cost a bit more than 4K but we will keep them a while.

Nice. As its the Black shadow its got a Hardon/Karmdon stereo in it :-)

The only annoying thing for me is the road noise. Its got 19" wheels so low profile tyres that a re run flats. On some surfaces its really loud.
