Agree with Naomi above. A young friend referred to me as rich a few days ago. (Not in a rude way). She judged me because we own our nice home, I speak well and we spend a lot on food, which we cook ourselves!! She has no idea of our roots or how hard we worked and our parents before us. I lived on a council estate as a child and through to my teens. I know all about families struggling. My parents had a very, very tight budget, as did we initially.
I don't disagree with food banks. But they should be better controlled and not used for those who have seemingly chosen a benefit lifestyle. I would never donate to foodbanks. but I do support charities and organisations who help genuine cases of need. Not those that go to foodbanks and still smoke, make frequent visits to pubs, etc. and make no effort to do otherwise.
