For willows it's 40m (conservatively) or more realistically 18m.

The critical factor is what sort of soil you have - if it's clay that's not good news

annie tree - even if the top of the tree has been kept reasonably trimmed I'm sure the roots will have kept on growing. Sorry, but having heard about other disasters that weeping willows have caused to houses I'd get rid. They are a beautiful tree and I love them when they are on the edge of a river or canal, but they do need to be a LONG way from a house!
