I work with a guy who is a transvestite.
We get on well, he presents himself as a male at work.
(which he is)
But on 'occasions' he presents as a female.
The last works AGM (And the one before) he presented as a female.
The previous one was a bit of a shock. The recent one, no one battered an eyelid,
(we'd all got used to it by then I guess)

I don't give a fig about anyone's orientation, if a guy wants to look like a woman or a woman wants to look like a man, I couldnt give two hoots.
(Or if your gay/lesbian, transgenger etc...)
What I DO find contentious, Is the reactions of others.
Example...how would you feel about my work colleague using the works toilet as a man, when dressed as a man, and using the female toilets when dressed as a woman?

Personally it doesn't cross my mind that a man entering a ladies toilet is going to attack me or expose himself or whatever. I assume I am in the minority but I have a clearly outdated sense of decorum. I don't want a man able to hear me pee and I certainly wouldn't want a man emptying his bowels in the next door cubicle.
I prefer separate toilets for men and women, but that's probably because I'm a 'dinasour', but I don't care. I'd feel VERY uncomfortable if I knew men were in the same toilets as me - my prerogative.
now i am intrigued prudie - is that because womens pee sounds different from mens? or women's bowel movements are different to mens?
I know what you mean, Prudie, the gentle waft from the lightly-fragranced waste of the female is easily distinguished even when separated by solid, wipe-down surfaces, and much less offensive.

'raises eyes heavenward, again.'
At least afford me the respect of having an outdated opinion. I have Never done a bowel movement in public toilets and yes men's generally smell worse than mine at least.
IF you have a penis, use a gents toilet, unless there are unisex ones.
Bars I've been to in Spain, the Canaries, etc. often only have one loo. So it's one in - one out. No sharing.
Just use the disabled toilets. Anyone and everyone uses them where I work, whether disabled or not. They don't care.
//I prefer to think of myself as understanding, non bigoted and open to others.//

I don't think you quite understand my point, helen. The number of sexes there are is not a matter of opinion requiring accommodation or understanding, nor is it open to bigotry. It is a simple matter of fact - there are only two. If you could demonstrate that there are more than two, as bigoted as I suspect you believe I am, I'd would be genuinely interested.

Think what you want Khandro. Got better things to do with my time than debate people like you who cant decide if they are Buddhists or Christians (Or just cherry pickers of religious verses of various religious verses)
AND it was YOU who bought up religion!
