A very high-speed finish, with Toorak just in front of Danny and ozzy, with emmie just a tad behind.

Doing the puzzle doesn’t look as if it will be quite as straight-forward. Lots of possible 5-letter grid positions, only some of which can readily be eliminated. Definitely a puzzle worthy of the name.
