Squashed Download.

How can I re size a downloaded movie off You Tube, which appears as a squashed up central strip of the screen? I`ve tried all options on the drop down menus, but can`t find any way of re sizing the movie, which plays back perfectly on YouTube.

Did you download it at original size, or did you select a different option in whatever you used to download it?

I downloaded it exactly as it appears on you tube.

This is probably more about the software you are using to display it, rather than the movie itself. Unfortunately, you've not given us that info, but most players (eg VLC ) have an option to set the aspect ratio. (Eg Automatic, 4:3, 16:9, etc).

As TC has effectively indicated, it's probably a problem with your media player. So which one are you using?
