I just binge-watched this - it was really good.

In the final episode, we found out who was responsible for the murder of the original lawyer, but I didn't understand what the person's motivation was for committing the crime!

Can anyone please enlighten me?

It turns out his original solicitor who was murdered found out he really did it and for he wanted to be found innocent for his computer game company.

Mentioned this a few weeks back and i said that there's probably more to come. The story involved was from the 2nd book in the series, i think, because the first involved the lawyer's half brother, Bosch, and his series is made by a different production crew.

Actually, i am mistaken. Bosch is involved in this novel (The Brass Verdict). It is he who does all the investigating for Haller but i don't think he crops up in the next few books. And, of course, a film was done of the first novel so comparisons would have been made had this series covered that novel.
