Haven't Attitudes Changed.

In my era and my kids experience, it would have been unthinkable that one would go on holiday 2 weeks before A or O levels. To be stranded abroad with your exams tomorrow would have been and in my opinion, totally irresponsible.
The last 2 weeks before an exam was the tidying up of months of study and to present oneself in the best physical and emotional state to take on examinations which could determine one's future.
To be in another country the day before your exams denogrates the importance of one's future.
Times have changed.

I myself have had to do it. Mate of mine was dragged to New York to get a rollicking and then had to fly back. I quite often did New York for two days.
