Listener 4716 - Venation By The Ace Of Hearts

Very enjoyable. First time I've ever been the first to post on either forum. Need to sort out the wordplay on three or four radials but more my cup of tea than 4715. Thanks TAoH

I seem to remember the first Listener I tried was one based on Chaucer back in the 60s, and I have had a soft spot for them. Took ages over the last radial through trying to use the wrong inner cell, but that's part of the fun. You don't have to have 17 layers of endgame to be a good puzzle
I too enjoy a good circular puzzle, and this had much to commend it: neat construction, many challenging clues, an unambiguous finish, a sprinkling of humour and an interesting, quirky theme.
As someone referred to above, you don't want to solve it too early and have to trudge through dozens of obscure radials, but here the wordplay clues ensured that it progressed in stages (for me at least).
Very enjoyable - thanks, Ace of Hearts!
