Though i suppose the publicity garnered by the article will do the pub no harm.

Sink the Bismarck is around £95 per pint but at 41% abv you can usually only buy it in shots although a few specialist shops sell it in 375 ml bottles.
Tactical Nuclear penguin is £73 for 375 ml Tried it at Birmingham beer festival some years ago Sunny Dave had a sip I think it was too scary for him
Brewdog has a collaboration called strength in Numbers at 57.5 abv I would love to try it.
Crikey Rowan, that’s even higher than BrewDogs Lone Wolf Gunpowder Gin which is 57, literally blows your socks off!!! It actually tastes lovely too.
Brewdog really push the boundaries, I want them to do some ciders at those levels, McFluff would be up for a try at those I am sure. I've seen her at the Birmingham beer fest working her way through the Perry and cider list!
I can't work out (because I'm too lazy to google it) how brewers create beers of the strengths mentioned above. Yeast starts to die off at around 14% ABV, meaning that it's theoretically impossible to brew beers very much stronger than that. (A few barley wines get up to 16% ABV but that usually around the limit).

One of my favourite pubs in London (Cask Bar & Kitchen, Pimlico) sometimes sells bottled beers at or around the same sort of price as the one mentioned in Ken's link. At the moment though their most expensive beer only costs a comparatively modest £60 for a 650ml bottle of a US-brewed imperial stout, at 10% ABV.
It's a technique involving freezing, effectively creating a beer "spirit". Try brewdogs website they have a lot more info. TNP tastes a bit like beer and a bit like malt and goes very well with fruit cake.
Chris if you like imperial stouts a few brilliant ones are Tsarina Ezra by De Molen, and both Baltic Trader, and Ripper by Greenjack. Dave would have voted for Trader, I was a definite fan of Tsarina.
