What big thing have you noticed - mine has been petrol.

Bought £20 last Sunday to pick sister up - I don't drive much at all - next thing within one week petrol light was flashing. Couldn't believe it.

Remember the good old days when people would go out for a drive?
Crikey bookbinder! Half a tank of petrol for £10? That must have been years ago!
naomi, he was filling up his Honda 50 moped :D
Bookbinder - £136 a week for just two of you? That seems high!
My Tesco shopping hasn't gone up that much, but I buy meat, fish and veg elsewhere
My friend got a taxi from Ryde to Totland. About 16 miles. Charge £60.

Naomi: admittedly, that was about 18 years ago, but I still rember it!
Smowball: we don't skimp on food and drink. We like our home comforts, especially wine and gin!
If it’s any consolation a punnet of raspberries at the w/e in Moscow, admittedly in one of the more upmarket areas (Patriot Ponds): 9980RR or £150
The Shell near me is now £1.93. I don't often drive these days which is lucky for me.

I mentioned on AB a few weeks back that my weekly shop had gone up by around £30-40. And my energy bill DD has gone from around £90 to £125pm. Not looking forward to October and when it gets cold.

At the moment I've got enough disposable income to cover the hikes but it is worrying if, as and when they increase again.
Same as bookbinder, while we can afford it we intend to spend whatever it costs to enjoy life.
You've never had it so good.
The pound in your pocket...
Sunlit uplands...

I'm alright Jack.
