I fully expected the Norfolk couple to win. I think they learned a lot in the process. How they did that last property on such a small budget was amazing. How it holds up is another thing.
Were the mother and daughter planning to set up a business flipping...or staging?
The trouble with flipping is that it reduces further the number of properties available for first time buyers. There's a huge difference between £85,000 and liveable and £120,000+ and done up.
One of the American programs I watch is set in Detroit. The guys doing it sometimes buy for as little as $1,000/selling for $85,000 when done. There's nothing that low here, is there?
