Beeping On Car

We just got a 2014 Mazda 2 1.3 Sport Venture for my daughter. Very pleased with it but one tiny niggle. Going down A roads/motorways no problem. When driving around town, she hears a very short intermittent beep. Cannot tell where it’s coming from. Have tried a few of the suggestions on Google to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Could it be the lane departure warning?

Is it a warning that she is getting too close to other road users?
Perhaps you need to scour the pages of the handbook for "audible warnings" or some such?

Is that likely to happen in town? I don’t know. I will ask her to try and notice when it occurs. Thanks for answering.

I don’t think the too close can be right. She always keeps a safe distance back.

There are so many things in the handbook, I expect we will have to through them one by one. Just thought someone on her may have a quick answer if they have had the same problem.
