To those of you who own antique pendulum-clocks, you may notice that your clock runs a minute or two slower during a prolonged period of heat. That is because the pendulum-rod expands slightly and lengthens thus all the gear-ratios from the great-wheel driven by the spring to the escapement mechanism which releases the energy of the spring (And the thingy that makes that tick-tock sound) are slowed down...You've been warned!

Talking about pendulums, bobbinwales, I think you've swung over to the wrong thread:)
Has..."after a few drinks"...anything to do with it, Bob? ;-)
@20.35 ... Haha a bit of Franglaise.

It has been a bit warmer than usual here Sanmac. As a consequence everyone has headed for the seaside or Westport Lake. "To the water , now is the hour" has been the cry, or "A l’eau, c’est l’heure" in Froggie. It just comes out as "ello sailor" in English. (*_^)
Has anyone mentioned it's a tad warmer than usual, I'm a hot person anyway (Yes I am ;-) but blimey its hot oop here in West Yorkshire
That's far too good looking SD :-)
Could give another meaning to....a roll in the hay....Arky. If you're lucky. ;-)
Yes it would, although we'd have to do something about the elephant in the room.
Ahhh...but he's such a pretty elephant... ;-)
