Changing Rooms Permanently Closed In Tesco !!

So my missus has just come back from the clothing dept in Tesco with about 10 items of clothing.
Apparently, Tesco policy has permanently closed the changing rooms. The result - people buying 2 or 3 sizes of each item, taking them elsewhere to try them on and then taking the rest back ..... absolute stupidity in my opinion.
My missus knows she'll be taking most of what she bought back to Tesco, resulting in more work as some of the items will need to be re-tagged with a security tag and then they need putting back out on display, etc.
I'm not sure if this is down to Covid or meant to be a cost-cutting exercise, but it's madness in my opinion.
When I buy jeans, I usually need to ty on at least 10 pairs as I'm a really awkward size and I need to make sure they fit right. I somehow can't see myself buying 10+ pairs of jeans, taking them home, trying them on and taking the rest back.
Guess where I won't be shopping for jeans from now on??
As an afterthought, I'm also wondering if anywhere else has permanently closed their changing rooms as well??

Maybe I should have rephrased it. I do try at least 10 pairs on, but not all of the same brand/make. I can fit into either a 34R/L or a 36R/L depending on the brand .... and I'll try a few different brands on as well. I remember going to Boundary Mill a few years ago and I went with my missus. I tried on approx 20 - 25 different pairs of jeans ..... my missus vowed never to come with me again when I go shopping for jeans. - RESULT !!

With regards to the shoplifting , I remember a store (can't remember the name) where the entrance to the changing rooms was permanently manned. As you entered the changing rooms you were given a coloured tag depending on how many items you had (you were allowed to take a maximum of 4 into the changing room). So for example, a red tag for one item; a blue tag for two items; a yellow tag for three items and a green tag for four items. When you left the changing rooms you returned your tag and showed your items. You kept what you wanted to buy and the assistant placed your unwanted items on a rack to be replaced back on the shelf later.
