Neighbour Complaint

Work started on my new fence yesterday and the builder said he should finish later today. The problem is that they had to drive down a wide pathway at the back of my house to drop of materials and equipment and load the van up with the original bricks and concrete blocks away. The pathway is owned by the corporation of London and one of my neighbours had a go at the driver saying he couldn't drive down there. The driver then said it would only be for a few hours to load and unload but the neighbour still complained.

I don't have a side gate and the only other way is to cart the old rubbish through my house. If it's only for a few hours is my neighbour within their right to complain?

No Sqad. The builder told me it was a neighbour this morning but then when I asked him which neighbour he said it was someone from the C of L. I don't know why he said it was a neighbour.
Oh I see.
I think that you need to go to your neighbour with 2 bottles of wine and apologise to him/her for the libelous comments of AB.........LOL (just joking)

Obviously some miscommunication there. He's got a strong Eastern European accent.

Luckily Sqad, I haven't mentioned anything to any neighbour as I needed him to clarify. And that's why I asked him who it was. Good job I did though.
yes, very wise on your part, tiggs. As PP says, don't go apologising to the City, wait to see if they approach you. They might be quite happy with the driver's explanation.

Lol, Jno. I wouldn't be apologising. Quite the opposite...
Did your builder finish the fence today as promised?

Nearly there GG. Just the side panel to go up, locks and latch for the gate to be fitted and some gaps to be filled under the concrete blocks.
