I mentioned in another thread that in 1993 I was staying in the same hotel in Munich as Peter Gabriel, and, having been to his gig (best I've ever seen) later that evening he got into the hotel lift I was in. All I could manage was............ 'hello'.

I swished past Derek Jacobi once ( didnt even meet) and recollected he was Lord Fawn(*) in The Forsyte Saga 1967 and the poor old boy was aghast that I didnt praise something more recent
