Some love the Shergar Cup (never spoken to anyone who does, though?) and it is that contest which dominates today's ITV7 with 4 races from the Ascot jamboree - first leg @ 3.00. The remainder of the '7' consists of one race each from Haydock, Newmarket and the Curragh.

Can't take to the contrived attempt to be interesting called the Shergar Cup and haven't looked at the races or done the ITV7. Got better things to do. A walk on the new beach at Colwyn Bay later and sort my tomatoes out this morning before the hot weather is back next week. Have earmarked 4 handicaps at Haydock and Redcar for a flutter and will post the selections in a few minutes.
Totally agree with you, Togo, and i have stayed up north for my main bet. Though i have done a L15 at Ascot, and the placepot there.

Couldn't stand the SC since it's first gormless appearance.
Seems to unite people though, doesn't it?
I'm sticking to a handful of races in Ireland.
Anybody know much about the trainer, Matthew J Smith?
I'd never noticed or heard of him to be honest. Been following him since Galway. He's on fire.
Good luck all.

Not much info on him on line Spike, apart from his stats with the racing post. Never heard of him myself but good luck to him if he is a tryer and not a liar.
Ken have you seen the free entry to a 6 correct scores offer that is running during August with 365? £1million on offer for 6 correct scores, with lesser prizes for 5,4,3 correct. It is a free offer. I missed it this week but the chance starts again on Monday for next week. Nice winner today that gave me more than triple my stakes with a placed and a non runner.
