I am growing aubergines in my greenhouse. Apart from one of them being partially eaten by ants, they are doing very well. However, I noticed this morning that one of them had some discolouration on its skin. it wasn't on the end, so not the aubergine equivalent of blossom end rot and it didn't look like an ant attack. Has anyone any idea what it is, what causes it and how to prevent it?

I'm no gardener but, given the recent (and current) weather, I've just googled 'aubergine sunburn' as a possible cause of the problem. There are plenty of links which seem to suggest that I might be right. Rather than trying to select the best link for you though, I'll leave it to you to try the same bit of googling.

Hi, thank you for that. I googled it and one of the pictures could have been the one I picked this morning. maybe I should start rubbing SF50 on them. Your efforts are much appreciated.
