If youre going to Treviso by Ryan Air, a bus meets the flight and will take you to Piazzale Roma in Venice for 4,50. It takes just over an hour. From Piazzale Roma get a vaporetto to the Lido, which, if I remember correctly, is where the Hungarian Palace is. Its certainly a distinctive hotel!
The Lido isnt really in the centre of Venice and you'll have to get a vaporetto every time you want to get to the city. The Lido is a bit different to Venice - it has cars for one thing and is more ordinary! There's plenty of decent hotels in the centre of Venice to choose from.
It'll be cold in February so wrap up warm!!
