i have a piece of (mouldy) wedding cake in it's original box, presented to one of her footmen on her wedding day. would be very interesting to find out if there is any value or not to this item?

Is there anything about it that can proove it is the genuine article? If so I would imagine there would be some people (esp americans) who would pay top whack.

Stick it on eBay, and offer some form of authentication - how it came into your posession for example, and see how the interest rolls in.
