Waht would you do...
Imagine this scenario - you have worked for a company for 3 yrs. You boss treats you like a school kids, talks to you like they are totally above you, makes sure that all your emails and memos are read by her before being ok'd to send. your boss thinks you should be maaried to your job.
At the same time you have a mortagage and a baby on the way in November. Going into work makes you physically sick, gives you headaches, sleepless nights. Its a job that is quite well paid, but you just cannot take anymore as you feel like you are going to explode. You have just imagined my working life.
I have only a weeks annual leave which is saved for the birth of my child.
I cannot take any more. I want to walk but feel I cannot for te sake of my family and unborn child. My boos treats me like a kid, I feel ****** everyday and look forward to getting home.
What would you do?? Would you quit and and risk it? Get a temping job? Stick it out until next year when I have all my annual leave for interviews? Or what???
I am currently signed up with an agency so any interviews will have to be done sneakily. I am also thinking about starting my own design company, as I am a qualified designer. Start part time and slowly slowly build it up. If my wife were to say leave your job and go temping I would in a heart beat.

Ask yourself, what's the worst that could happen? Well, if you can't pay your mortgage, you may - and I place the emphasis on 'may' - lose your house. Whilst that, if it happened, wouldn't be nice, it's not the end of the world. You're highly unlikely to be left homeless.
OK, so you'll be a little poorer, but what price your sanity? And if it makes you feel better, tell the boss exactly why you're leaving.

So, youre already looking for a new job and you're also considering starting a company too? Maybe you already have the solution in hand.
I think you should realise that its very difficult to start a new company 'part time'. Any new company will need 100% of your time and effort. With a new baby on the way maybe now is not the right time?
