fourteen85 - I like that word too. Many years ago I was totally flummoxed by a crossword question and after much searching found the answer - petrichor.

petrichor has just come up somewhere - smell of rain
petros ( rock of course)
ichor - the nourishing fluid of the Gods ( what about nectar?)
